1. IKEA KAJPLATS LED Bulb E26 1100 lm White Spectrum

   No Alexa-specific listing exists; coverage rests on IKEA's blanket statement of compatibility with smart systems from Amazon, Apple, Google, Homey and Samsung — read on THIS SKU's own page (art. 506.113.00) and re-confirmed 2026-08-31 — via standard Matter with a Thread border router on that platform.

2. IKEA KAJPLATS LED Bulb E26 Color + White Spectrum

   No Alexa-specific listing exists; coverage rests on IKEA's blanket statement of compatibility with smart systems from Amazon, Apple, Google, Homey and Samsung, via standard Matter with a Thread border router on that platform.

4. LIFX SuperColor Smart Light 1-Pack (1100 Lumens)

   Two ways in, and they behave differently. LIFX's own connection links your LIFX account to Alexa and works for every LIFX product with no hub — that is the route recorded here, and it runs through LIFX's cloud, so it needs internet. The alternative is adding the bulb to Alexa as a Matter device, which LIFX says requires an Amazon Matter-enabled controller such as a recent Echo but then talks to the bulb over your own network.

5. LIFX SuperColor 40" Lightstrip Kit (700 Lumens)

   LIFX's own connection links your LIFX account to Alexa and works for every LIFX product with no hub — that is the route recorded here, and it runs through LIFX's cloud, so it needs internet. Adding the strip to Alexa as a Matter device instead keeps traffic on your own network but requires an Amazon Matter-enabled controller, and on this product Matter itself arrives as a firmware update rather than out of the box.

6. Nanoleaf Matter Smart Multicolor Lightstrip 16.4ft

   Alexa switches it on and off, dims it, and sets its colour and white temperature through Matter, which is the only route Nanoleaf names, so you need an Echo or another Matter controller. Nanoleaf's scenes, music sync and screen mirroring stay in the Nanoleaf app.

7. Nanoleaf Matter Smart Multicolor HD Lightstrip 16.4ft

   Reached only through Matter, so an Echo or other Matter controller is required — there is no cloud skill fallback. Matter carries on/off, brightness, colour temperature and colour; the 300-zone addressable effects that justify this model's price stay in the Nanoleaf app.

    Named in Hue's own compatibility list for this product — 'Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home, IFTTT, Klikaanklikuit, Matter, Samsung Smartthings, Sonos' — reached through the Bridge this product requires anyway.

13. Philips Hue Festavia White & Color Ambiance String Lights (65 ft, 250 LEDs)

    Works via Bridge or Bluetooth; Hue's Bluetooth guide states Bluetooth-only setups still get Alexa voice control.

14. Philips Hue Festavia Permanent Outdoor Lights (150 ft)

    Named in Hue's own compatibility list for this product — 'Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home, IFTTT, Klikaanklikuit, Matter, Samsung Smartthings, Sonos'. The path runs through the Hue Bridge, which this product requires anyway, so the ecosystem support and the hub requirement are the same fact.

15. Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights Prism

    Works in Alexa over Matter: this model carries a Matter certificate, and Alexa controls brightness, color and color temperature on Matter lights. Govee also lists Alexa for voice control without saying how it connects. The three-zone effects, preset scenes and music sync stay in the Govee app.

    Named in IKEA's own compatibility list — the lamp is 'compatible with smart systems from Amazon, Apple, Google, Homey and Samsung' — and the route is Matter over Thread rather than a cloud skill, which is why the transport is local. ⚠ What Matter gives you is bounded by Matter: a colour bulb's on/off, brightness and colour are expressible; anything IKEA's own app does beyond that may not cross over.

    Requires Ring hardware first: Ring's own Alexa article states that 'A Ring Bridge is required for Alexa integrations.' With one, the documented controls are on/off for individual lights or groups, brightness, motion sensitivity, alerts, auto shut-off timers, group turn-on duration and alert snooze timing. This product's own page describes the same shape in marketing terms — 'Connect with select Alexa-enabled devices in the Ring app to activate Ring smart lights and adjust settings with the sound of your voice.'
