- Lights rated IP67, control box IP65; the power adapter is rated indoor-only per the product page. Mains AC powered. 100 ft carries 60 lights. Installed with supplied VHB adhesive and clips. Govee states the lights cannot be directly extended past 150 ft without a driver module and that total length must not exceed 200 ft. Anti-UV material, 50,000 h rated, -4 F to 140 F. Wi-Fi band is not stated on any Govee-owned page.
The catch
It is a genuinely permanent installation — VHB-adhered, cut to fit, with a hard 200 ft system ceiling and no direct extension past 150 ft without a separate driver module. Removal and re-siting are not part of the design. Separately, Govee's Matter claim on this product is contradicted by Govee's own Matter FAQ, which is why Apple Home and SmartThings are recorded here as unknown.
Who it's for
Homeowners committing to year-round permanent eave lighting who are content inside Alexa, Google Home, or the Govee app, or who want local control through Home Assistant. Not a fit for renters, for anyone who may want to relocate the run, or for Apple Home households until Govee resolves its own Matter documentation.
