Sengled's US business has effectively stopped: its online store has been shut since October 2025, the cloud service went down in June 2025, and Amazon removed the Sengled voice skill in August 2025. The bulb itself keeps working over Matter on your own network — what ended is the company's service, not the light. Sengled is effectively out of business in the US — no support, no updates, no warranty. This Matter bulb pairs to your own Matter controller with no Sengled app or hub, but Sengled never said whether it keeps working when the internet is down, and buying new from a defunct manufacturer is hard to justify; existing owners of Sengled Zigbee bulbs can re-pair them to any Zigbee hub, while owners of Sengled's cloud WiFi bulbs have lost smart control entirely.

We do not know, and we would rather say so. Sengled has effectively stopped trading in the US and its own pages no longer answer us, so there is no maker page left where a plan or a fee would be published if one ever existed. Nobody is selling a subscription for this bulb today, but that is because the company is gone rather than because the bulb was built without one, and those are different answers. What we can say is that the bulb speaks Matter, so a hub you already own can run it whatever happened to Sengled.
