Some functions can. IKEA MYGGBETT and MYGGSPRAY pair directly with up to ten IKEA smart products, TIMMERFLOTTE has a standalone display, and several SwitchBot models work nearby over Bluetooth. App, remote and automation requirements differ.

Matter-over-Thread sensors

Aqara’s P2 door and motion models, Eve Door & Window, and Eve Motion need a Matter controller and Thread border router. Check the exact controller in our Thread guide.

Do not assume equal readings on every platform. Aqara Motion & Light P2 loses its light function in Alexa. Eve’s app history features have Apple-specific conditions. Aqara Door & Window P2’s contact reading in Home Assistant is unconfirmed, even though a Matter connection is documented.

IKEA’s MYGGBETT and MYGGSPRAY also offer direct pairing with up to ten IKEA smart products, without a hub. Phone features need the documented Thread setup. TIMMERFLOTTE can display temperature and humidity on its own; connected use needs additional hardware.

IKEA sells the specified rechargeable AAA batteries separately. Its manuals state about 15 months for MYGGBETT and MYGGSPRAY and about 24 months for TIMMERFLOTTE. MYGGBETT and TIMMERFLOTTE are indoor-only. MYGGSPRAY’s IP67 rating does not override its stated 0–40 °C operating range. Home Assistant readings for these three models remain unconfirmed in the records.

Bridge, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi routes

Hue Motion needs a Hue Bridge; it has no Bluetooth-only fallback. Check the Bridge model and accessory capacity rather than applying a limit to every generation.

SwitchBot Contact Sensor and Meter Pro have nearby Bluetooth functions. Remote and voice features require a SwitchBot hub; Matter specifically requires a supported Matter-bridging hub. Contact Sensor’s Android push alerts also need a hub. Meter Pro displays readings itself, but its weather forecast needs a hub.

Meter Pro’s device history covers 68 days and its app history covers two years. SwitchBot states that keeping history beyond two years requires payment; the price is unpublished. That is separate from buying a hub.

Aqara FP2 connects through Wi-Fi with constant USB-C power, and its zones are set in Aqara’s app. It has no Matter support. Read its local-automation conditions and platform caveats before planning an occupancy routine.
