⚠ Similar names, different products: This page covers the SNZB-06P, which SONOFF says uses 5.8GHz microwave radar. The SNZB-06P24 (SenseGuard Presence Core) is a different product with 24GHz mmWave radar and its own page here.

Before you buy
What do you need to make it work?
Yes — a Zigbee hub. SONOFF lists Zigbee 3.0 hubs it works with, including its own NSPanel Pro, iHost, ZB Bridge Pro and ZBDongle-E, and the Echo Plus 2nd Gen.[1]
Follow the recorded connection below. Equipment details and setup limits explain what else this path needs.

How to read the equipment roles
This shows the connection route, not every network cable or a shopping list. One device may provide several roles, including a Matter controller and a Thread border router. Only a Thread connection needs the Thread role. Read the equipment cards for all recorded requirements.

Zigbee hub
Only through a Matter bridge. SONOFF says its Zigbee devices reach Apple Home through a Matter bridge such as its ZBBridge-U, sold separately. It does not say what Apple Home shows for this sensor.[1]

Zigbee hub
SONOFF names Alexa, and lists the Echo Plus 2nd Gen among the Zigbee hubs the sensor works with, but it does not say what Alexa can do with it. SONOFF also says some platforms do not support the Zigbee presence sensor type and may show it as a motion sensor.[1]
Compatibility is named, but the connection method is not documented here. A working path cannot be drawn yet.
Zigbee hub
SONOFF says connecting it to a SmartThings hub needs a driver installed first, or a cloud-to-cloud link if you have a SONOFF gateway. It does not say what SmartThings can do with it once it is connected.[1]

Keep in mindRead the setup notes for ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT support. Functions are not inferred from radio compatibility.
Which features come through?
Check the function table and setup notes for this route. An alternative connection does not inherit every capability of the recorded primary connection. A Thread border router, a Matter controller and a platform home hub are different roles; suitable hardware may provide more than one.

Zigbee hub
SONOFF says it adds to Home Assistant through ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT, which needs a Zigbee coordinator. It does not list what Home Assistant shows for it.[1]
One device can provide more than one role. These are setup requirements, not a shopping list of separate purchases.

Plans and ongoing costs[1]
? Works without a subscription: Not established — no source we accept has addressed fees for this product in either direction.
Vendor account required: Not established — we have not sourced this yet.
SONOFF's SNZB-06P page, read 2026-10-09, names no plan, fee or subscription for the sensor, and says nothing about whether any feature needs one, so this is not established either way.
Maintenance and offline use
- Works without the internet: Not established — we have not sourced this yet. It does not mean the product fails without the internet.
- SONOFF lists a 5V⎓1A input and no battery. It also lists the sensor as a Zigbee router, so it can relay signals for other Zigbee devices.
- Security updates: No security-update support date is on record for this model yet. We haven't yet checked whether SONOFF publishes one, so this is a gap in our research — not a statement about the manufacturer.
The catch
It needs a Zigbee hub, and its 5.8GHz radar picks up more than people. SONOFF warns it 'will also detect other moving objects like pets, curtains, Roombas, and running fans', and says some hubs show it only as a basic motion sensor.
Who it's for
Someone who already runs a Zigbee hub, such as Home Assistant with a Zigbee coordinator or a SONOFF hub, and wants low-cost presence detection in a room without pets or fans in view.
This opens SONOFF's own website. We earn nothing from this link.
