Maintenance reality[2]

- Radios are NOT built in and are not a single purchase: Zigbee or Thread means a Home Assistant Connect ZBT-2 at $49, ONE PROTOCOL PER DONGLE (see the Home Assistant cell), and Z-Wave means a separate stick again. The ZBT-1/SkyConnect is discontinued and replaced by the ZBT-2, so a secondhand ZBT-1 is buying the previous generation. Monthly OS updates are a hobby, not a chore — know thyself. Power draw is genuinely low for an always-on box: Home Assistant publishes ~1.7W idle and ~3W under load.
