Worth stating positively because a robot with a camera and remote viewing is exactly the shape of product that often carries a video plan, and this one does not. Running costs are consumables and optional kits.

Suction is 4,000Pa — the lowest of the three SwitchBot robots built in this tranche, and a third of the K11+'s 6,000Pa, because this product's point is the platform rather than the floor. Navigation is DToF radar with triple laser obstacle avoidance and fall prevention across multiple floors. ⚠ The threshold numbers deserve reading twice before buying: SwitchBot says it clears 2cm on the robot body alone, but 'when moving with a platform on it, it may not be possible to pass without a step difference of less than 3mm' — so carrying anything, it needs an essentially flat floor. SwitchBot also warns that long-pile carpet can catch it and should be marked in the app in advance. Attachments include floor brush, crevice tool, flat brush and mite brush. 1-year warranty.

The catch
It is a carrying platform first and a vacuum second, and the specification admits it: 4,000Pa is the weakest suction of SwitchBot's three current robots and a third of the cheaper K11+. The mobility that justifies the price is also the most conditional thing about it — SwitchBot says that with a platform loaded it may not clear a step difference greater than 3mm, so 'fetches things across your home' assumes a genuinely flat, single-level floor plan.
Who it's for
For someone buying the idea rather than the vacuum: a robot that carries an air purifier, a tablet or a fan to the room you are in, patrols the house with a camera, and checks on pets or family while you are out — with floor cleaning as a side effect. It earns its keep in a flat, open, single-level home, and the one review on SwitchBot's page describes exactly that use, helping a wheelchair user move things around. Buy the K11+ instead if you want a vacuum, and buy nothing here if your rooms are separated by thresholds.
