• Four independently programmed outlets on one hose faucet, programmed in the B-hyve app on iOS or Android over Bluetooth or at the timer itself with its dial. Orbit's quick start guide gives an operating pressure range of 10 to 100 PSI and says the timer is for outdoor use with cold water only. Orbit's help centre puts the warranty on B-hyve devices at two years when bought from an authorized dealer. Orbit's product page listed an included screen washer as of August 2026 and no longer mentions it. ⚠ Orbit states this model is 'not eligible for EPA WaterSense Label rebates' — worth knowing if a local utility rebate is part of the purchase maths.

The catch

The smart half is sold separately and Orbit says so: 'This timer does not include a B-hyve Smart Gen 2 Hub', and its page ties both control from anywhere and smart schedules to that hub. Out of the box this is a Bluetooth timer — you stand near it with the app to program four outlets, and that genuinely works with no Wi-Fi at all, which is the part most connected irrigation cannot claim. What you do not get without the hub is control from anywhere and the weather-driven Smart Watering that the B-hyve name is built on. ⚠ Check the SKU before ordering: 24634 is the bare timer at $99.99 and 24639 is the same timer with the hub at $134.99. ⊕ One more line worth reading if a utility rebate is in your maths: Orbit states this model is 'not eligible for EPA WaterSense Label rebates'.

Who it's for

A hose-faucet setup with up to four zones where the person watering is at home — the Bluetooth-only mode is a real, cheap, no-wiring answer, and it keeps working when the internet does not. Add the Gen 2 hub if you want scheduling from away or weather-based adjustment. It is the wrong buy for anyone expecting voice control or an ecosystem integration on day one: Orbit names no smart-home platform on this model's page at all.
