Needs before it works: No hub, and there is none to buy. Every VeSync device joins your home Wi-Fi and registers to a VeSync account; that is the whole design. What Levoit does not publish is the Wi-Fi band. The specification block lists power, tank size, runtime, coverage, dimensions and weight, and no wireless entry at all. VeSync appliances are conventionally 2.4 GHz only, but that is convention, not a published fact, so plan for a 2.4 GHz network and do not count on more.[2]

No subscription, and unusually the maker says so in its own words rather than merely omitting one: Levoit describes control 'with the free VeSync app' on the product page. No plan page, premium tier or gated feature appears anywhere we read. The recurring costs are physical: the box ships three aroma pads, three absorption pads and two water filter sponges, and replacements are parts Levoit sells separately.

- Levoit's stated specifications, recorded as published on 2026-08-06: 120 V, 280 W, a 1.19 gallon (4.5 L) tank, up to 45 hours on the low mist setting, coverage of 215 to 430 square feet, 10.8 x 6.0 x 11.97 inches, 5.3 lb, and a lowest noise level of 26 dB stated in the feature summary. It is ultrasonic with both warm and cool mist, two 360° nozzles, top-fill, an aroma pad for essential oils, and an Auto Mode that holds a target humidity set in the app. One oddity recorded rather than smoothed over: the 'Noise Level' row in Levoit's own spec table is blank; the 26 dB figure appears only in the marketing copy above it. Warranty is two years. Recorded as cloud-dependent on good evidence: Home Assistant's own VeSync integration is classed as reaching VeSync's servers rather than the device, and no local route, no Bluetooth and no Matter is published for this machine. The buttons on the unit keep working regardless.

The catch
Levoit does not tell you which smart home this works with. The page's only platform sentence is 'Connect to third-party voice assistants through VeSync for hands-free control when your hands are full', a mechanism with no names attached. Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home, Siri, SmartThings and Home Assistant appear nowhere on it, and VeSync's own site gave us nothing more, so every ecosystem on this record reads inconclusive rather than a tick or a cross. Second, the Home Assistant answer is the most interesting fact here. Home Assistant's official VeSync integration is real, actively maintained, and documents humidifiers well: target humidity, mist level, warm mist, humidity readings. Its supported list then names four Levoit humidifiers, including this machine's own line-mate the OasisMist 1000S, and does not name the 450S. That is not proof it fails, because these lists are maintained by volunteers and the integration works through your VeSync account rather than per model, but it is the closest thing to an answer that exists, and it is not a yes. Third, it is a cloud device with no local escape hatch: no local route, no Bluetooth, no Matter, so if VeSync's servers are down, the app and every remote route are down with them. The buttons on the machine keep working. Fourth, one specification is missing and one is blank: no Wi-Fi band appears anywhere, and the spec table's noise row is empty. Who it's for
Someone buying primarily on the appliance rather than the integration: warm and cool mist in one machine is uncommon at this price, and a 4.5 L tank running up to 45 hours on low covers a bedroom for the better part of two days. It also suits an existing VeSync household; if you already own a Levoit purifier, an Etekcity plug or a Cosori fryer, this joins the same free app with nothing new to learn. Think carefully if you are buying it to put a humidifier into a specific ecosystem. Levoit will not say which ones it supports and we could not establish it from anything either party publishes, so if the purchase depends on it appearing in Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home or SmartThings, check with Levoit before you buy rather than after. Home Assistant users have a sharper version of the same problem: the official VeSync integration handles humidifiers well and lists this machine's line-mate while omitting the 450S, so it may work and nobody has said so. And anyone who wants their home to keep working when a maker's servers do not should note that no local route is published for this machine at all.
