The trade is closed ecosystems and a trust history: in early 2023 Anker admitted to press that eufy cameras had sent video streams to its web portal without end-to-end encryption, contradicting earlier marketing. Anker states it has since encrypted portal streams, moved to WebRTC, commissioned third-party audits and launched a HackerOne bug bounty — but it does not claim end-to-end encryption across the board today.
