Nothing this robot does is locked behind a plan. eufy's product page puts no feature behind a recurring cost, and that is what the reading rests on rather than a promise from eufy that it never will. Two recurring charges are offered beside the buy box and neither buys you a feature: a eufy plus membership at $15.00 a month, which is a store programme priced against what you pay for the robot, and accessory subscriptions at $107.94 for three months or $181.90 for six, which ship brushes, filters and bags on a schedule you could just as easily buy one at a time. Worth knowing if you own other eufy hardware: eufy does sell paid cloud storage for its cameras and doorbells. That has nothing to do with a robot vacuum, and nothing about it is carried over here.

Capacities published: a 3 L dust bag rated '75 Days, Zero Maintenance', a 2.2 L clean water tank and an 8 L dirty water tank — the 8 L figure is the one that matters practically, since a plumbed refill is not offered and that tank is what you carry. Recorded as read: eufy publishes no complete specification table on this page — no robot dimensions, no weight, no battery capacity, no noise rating — so none is recorded here rather than being taken from a retailer listing.

The catch

The honest headline is what is missing rather than what is wrong. eufy's own copy for this robot does not contain the words Matter, Alexa, Google, Apple, Siri, SmartThings or Home Assistant — not once, in any section, with no compatibility list and no logo strip. (The page's served bytes do carry those words, in a storefront-wide catalogue blob describing other eufy products; none of it is about this robot.) That is not the same as the robot being incompatible; it means eufy has published nothing to check, which is why every ecosystem cell on this record reads unknown rather than yes or no. The certification database does fill part of the gap, and it took two attempts to see it. Read from CSA's website, where eufy's vacuum certificates are titled only 'eufy Robotic Vacuum' and name family SKUs 'Omni E28' and 'Omni S1', the C28 appears nowhere. Enumerated instead from the compliance ledger by eufy's vendor ID, it appears by name: 'eufy Robot Vacuum Omni C28', certificate CSA2621WMAT52068-24, dated 2025-07-25. So this robot IS Matter-certified, and eufy does not tell you so anywhere. What that certificate settles is the radio and only the radio — it is why this record now lists Matter under protocols. It settles nothing about whether Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home or SmartThings will actually show you this robot, which is why every one of those cells still reads unknown. If you are buying this expecting to add it to a particular app, that is the question to ask eufy before you pay. It is the wrong pick for anyone who needs the robot in Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings or Home Assistant, not because those are ruled out but because eufy has published nothing to rely on, and buying on an unstated capability is how people end up disappointed. It is also a poor fit if you are cross-shopping on physical dimensions, since eufy publishes none for this model, or if carrying an 8 L wastewater tank is unappealing — there is no plumbed option here.
